With LLF opening and the huge influx of amazing new classes and teachers, I’ve had a lot to be excited about as a studio owner. But I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about a studio program/offering as I am about this 30 Day Challenge which will begin on May 29th!
The ancients tell us that every decision comes down to Preya (that which pleases us) vs. Shreya (that which serves us). Nowhere in life is this more obvious than with food. Many of us are already on the path to living more mindfully and making decisions that serve us rather than please us. This challenge faces most of us every day starting at the pasty counter at the local coffee shop: do I indulge in my sense pleasures and chow the waffle? Or do I practice a little restraint and head up to Healeo for a green juice? Many of us want to incorporate mindful eating–eating that serves our best selves rather than simply gratifying our sense pleasures–into our lives on a daily basis
When we spend 30 days clearing out the nutritional clutter we build our will power and learn how to make decisions about food from the place of shreya. It’s a powerful reboot to realize how much we take in that we don’t need . . . and that doesn’t serve us. The ancients tell us that making decisions from the place of shreya is a skill we build by practicing it. So we’ll spend 30 days eating mindfully and practicing shreya around food.
On staff we have Kelly Raylinsky, a naturopathic doctor and kick-butt cycle teacher and Chloe Dee, a nutritional coach, amazing yoga and cycle teacher and an educator of clean, organic, raw and vegan eating (though this is not a vegetarian or vegan only program). We’ve partnered with Healeo to help create and support our 30 day challenge to get your mind and body ready for summer. What is it?

LLF Partners with Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Go Run, Come do Yoga!
On Sunday, June 3, Jaime will be teaching Yoga from 8:45-9:15 on the main stage at Seattle Center for the Susan G. Komen race for the cure! Go race, come do yoga. The heat is turning up at MFY! on Monday, 4/16 we’re greatly expanding our Yoga offerings to you by creating a HOT studio where the traditional 26 Poses of Hot Hatha will be taught as well as Hot Power, which a slow and stabalizing vinyasa practice. All fusion classes have moved to LLF! Watch the schedule online to stay up to date! Hot Hatha is an amazing way to expand your Yoga practice and to take the strain out of the wrists and shoulders that some people experience in Vinyasa yoga. It’s an incredible compliment to a vinyasa practice!
